About The Project
This project with Zealand was all about pushing the boundaries of digital collectibles. We took the classic sports card concept and gave it a fresh, modern twist - dynamic layouts, layered visuals, and a bold design created for the NFT space. It was a creative deep dive into blending tradition with sports and tech.
Objective
The aim of this project was to design a modern, collectible NFT series inspired by classic sports trading cards.
Instead of real-world athletes, each card features fictional players generated by the game Football Manager, all part of Zealand's in-game club, the Oriental Dragons.
With no real-life references, the goal was to design each player's look based solely on their in-game stats and physical profiles - building believable, visually cohesive characters that felt like they could exist in the real football world.
